- Seal: Seal the containers, ensuring that the lid is totally snapped on and properly shut all the way around. This will allow you to make sure that the food in your containers freezes well and that nothing is wasted.
- Freeze: Write a clear label on the lid of the container and then pop those containers into the freezer for up to 2 months.
What About Orzo With Other Ingredients?
It all comes down to the weakest ingredient. Your orzo will be limited by whatever the weakest element of the dish is.

This depends upon the ingredients that you’re using in the orzo really. If you’re only freezing orzo pasta on its own, then yes, it can be refrozen several times over with no safety concerns.
However, other ingredients, such as meat, raw dairy, and fish, can be subject to bacterial growth when thawed and refrozen. If your orzo dish contains those ingredients, it really shouldn’t be refrozen.
