Chances are, you’ve bought the Turkish delight that you now want to freeze. If that is the case then the first thing you’ll need to do is remove it from the packaging.
If you have made your own then this can be frozen too but before you do so, it must be completely cooled to room temperature. You can then get to freezing it:
- Place on Cling Film: Transfer the Turkish delight to a sheet of cling film, ensuring it has been well coated with icing sugar or corn starch. The icing sugar will form a barrier between the treat and the film to prevent the two from sticking together.
- Wrap: Once you have placed the Turkish delight on the sheet, pull the sheet up and around them to fully wrap.

Allowing the box to directly touch frost within the freezer will lead to the temperature dropping at the point of contact with the frost. This will often lead to rapid condensation and freezing within the box, both of which could lead to drastic textural changes.
Seal the Box Well
Ensure that the box is sealed to prevent the Turkish delight within from being dripped on by other items in your freezer – that’s important to ensure that the confectionary isn’t sitting in a small pool, which would ruin it.
