How to Freeze Cabanossi
Freezing cabanossi is pretty easy. Most cabanossi that you buy will already be cooked and smoked, but if not, you do need to ensure they are cooked first. Then, follow this method to freeze them and retain their flavour.
Make sure the cabanossi are completely cool if you have prepped and cooked them yourself.
Wrap each sausage in cling film. One layer should be enough, but if you want to be extra sure they are protected in the freezer, you can double wrap them.
- Bag Up
Pop the wrapped cabanossi into a large freezer bag.
Seal the bag tightly. Write the date and contents on the bag and then put the bag into the freezer. Your cabanossi should be frozen in a few hours.

- Freeze in Slices – Cabanossi tastes great as a pizza topping or in sandwiches. Before freezing, you can slice them up and wrap them in individual portions for easy to use sliced meats for lunches and meals.
